One would have a better chance at survival running rather than crawling
across a highway. Similarly, the stopping power of a medium decreases as
the kinetic energy of the traversing paricle increases, as seen in this
plot of stopping power (energy loss per centimeter travelled) of
antiprotons in water vs. their kinetic energy.
